About Me

ASHLEY GLENNIE PSYCHOLOGY.jpg

Ashley Glennie is a General Psychologist from Ontario, Canada. After graduating from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, she moved to Australia where she completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree at the University of the Sunshine Coast Queensland. She is passionate about working with individuals across their lifespan, addressing a variety of concerns and helping them lead more empowering lives.

Her professional journey has provided her with extensive experience in multidisciplinary settings. She has worked with an NDIS provider, both in clinical and community settings, as well as in a high-school environment. Prior to her psychology career, Ashley served as a Support Worker in mental health and residential care where she gathered valuable insight into the many challenges individuals may encounter.

Ashley is kind and compassionate and takes a non-judgmental approach to therapy. She prioritizes the therapeutic alliance and building a solid foundation with clients. She is transparent with clients in a neuro-affirmative way - not wanting to change who the client is but rather helping them become the best version of themselves.

Ashley often shares with her clients the analogy that while she cannot prevent life’s inevitable challenges from arising, she can offer them a surfboard and teach them how to ride the waves. This metaphor underscores her commitment to equipping her clients with the essential tools and skills they need to effectively navigate through life’s ups and downs.
